Founded by Eric Lyons and Geoffrey Townsend, Span developments set a new standard for post-war suburban housing. Their pioneering approach sought to create family housing that combined modern design with a sense of harmony and green spaces. Illustrated by Stefi Orazi, the tea towel design is based on the original kitchens of Parkleys, Ham—Span’s first development in 1954.
