Perambulation Nº10—A Walking Guide to Modernist Housing in Shoreditch to Victoria Park, East London
The route covers much of Bethnal Green, an area in the East End of London that suffered from extensive bomb damage and slum housing. The post-war drive for urban renewal saw its council commission the most avant-garde architects to solve the housing problem, including Denys Lasdun and Berthold Lubetkin. They produced some of the best examples of Modernist housing.
The folded guide comprises a map on one side with a detailed walking route on the reverse.

Donation to Shelter
We are very grateful to everybody who has bought a Walking Guide during the last year. It’s kept a roof above our heads during a difficult time. We’d now like to give a little back by giving 50p from each guide sale to Shelter, the housing and homeless charity. Thank you.
